This policy explains what personal data Vatam collects through vatam.co, why we collect it and what we do with it. We have kept it short and plain on purpose.
What do we collect?
When you use the contact or audit form, we collect the details you type in: your name, email address, website address and message. We use nothing else from the form.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. If we switch on basic analytics, it will record general usage, such as which pages are viewed and from which country.
Why do we use it?
We use form details to reply to you, to carry out a free AI visibility audit if you ask for one, and to discuss working together. We use logs and analytics to keep the site secure and to understand which pages are useful.
How long do we keep it?
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and to manage any relationship that follows, and for a reasonable period afterwards. You can ask us to delete your details at any time. Server logs are kept only as long as our host retains them.
Who do we share it with?
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services that run the site and carry your messages: our email delivery provider and our hosting provider. They process data on our behalf, and we share only what they need.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Do we use cookies?
The site uses only essential cookies, if any, such as those needed for security or to make the form work. If we add analytics that uses cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
What are your rights?
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it or to have it deleted. You can also object to how we use it. Rwanda’s data protection law, Law No. 058/2021, which governs personal data in Rwanda, sets out rights of this kind, and we aim to respect them for everyone who contacts us, wherever you are.
If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you may also raise it with the relevant data protection authority.
How do you contact us?
Write to us at victor@vatam.co with any request or question about your data. We will reply as soon as we reasonably can.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
