About Vatam
We help businesses show up when AI is asked who to trust.
Here's the thing: the way people find businesses is changing faster than most companies' marketing can keep up with. Vatam exists to close that gap, starting in Kigali and growing across East Africa and beyond.
Mission
Help businesses across Kigali, Rwanda, and East Africa become genuinely easy to find, understand, and recommend, whether someone is scrolling Google or asking an AI assistant.
Vision
A region where local businesses compete for AI attention on equal footing with global brands. Not because of size, but because they're clearer, sharper, and better built for how search actually works now.
Approach
How we operate
We don't promise rankings we can't control
No agency can guarantee a #1 spot or a guaranteed AI mention, and we won't pretend otherwise. What we promise is honest reporting on what actually moved.
Your business, not a template
Every recommendation is built around your business, your industry, and your market. Not a checklist we run the same way for everyone.
Foundations first
We fix the technical and structural basics before chasing whatever's trending in AI search this month. Real visibility gets built in order.
Numbers you can check
We track what's actually measurable: rankings, structured data, citation growth. And we're upfront about what still can't be measured with certainty.
Why we do one thing instead of everything
Most agencies serving Kigali and East Africa call themselves full-service: paid ads, social media, general SEO, sometimes a website build, all under one roof. We deliberately don't. Vatam focuses on one thing, the technical, content, and entity work that decides whether a business is found, understood, and recommended by Google and by AI. That's not a limitation. It's the whole point.
Team
Founder & team

Victor Olanrewaju
Founder
Victor Olanrewaju founded Vatam after spending his career on the other side of the table: as a copywriter, SEO strategist, and paid ads specialist working directly with businesses in Web3, e-commerce, and financial markets.
That work took him across Europe, the US, and Asia, building search and paid acquisition strategy for companies competing in fast-moving, highly technical, highly competitive digital categories, the kind of environment where being found by the wrong channel, or missed by the right one, has a direct cost.
Vatam is built on a specific observation from that experience: the same search and discovery channels Victor spent years mastering are being reshaped by AI faster than most agencies, especially ones serving Kigali and East Africa, have adjusted for. Vatam exists to close that gap for businesses in the region, applying the same rigor used in more mature, higher-competition markets.
Where we work
We're based in Kigali, Rwanda, and that's where we start. From there: Rwanda more broadly, East Africa (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Ethiopia), the rest of the continent, and international clients who want the same rigor applied to their own markets.
